Known Issues and Limitations

Here is a current list of known limitations of PowerSync:

PowerSync Service & Sync Rules

• Unchanged TOAST values are not replicated (fixed)

• TRUNCATE operations are not replicated (fixed)

• Using an output id that is not part of the table replica identity may cause silent failures (fixed)

• Default column values may not replicate correctly in some cases (schema changes are now documented here: Implementing Schema Changes)

• The history is not compacted yet, which may cause slower initial sync on clients

Management API

• Provisioning an authentication token for the management API currently requires contacting PowerSync support.
